Her first play, Junk, received a staged reading and workshop as part of the Living Room Theater's Writer's Den Series in 2015. Since then Emma has continued to write, perform, and produce her own work in Kansas City. Spellbound, a new musical collaboration between Emma and composer Krista Pojman, received a staged reading at The Living Room Theater as part of their 2018 Writer's Den series, and in 2017 Emma wrote and produced Bed Play: The Elements of Intimacy at the Living Room. She's currently applying for graduate programs in pursuit of an MFA in Playwriting.
